Coping With Grief
Robyn Chrystall, Pellows’ bereavement support person, has helped many bereaved families with her compassion and understanding.

Every day we help people in their time of need

Grief is our natural response to loss in our lives. There is no right or wrong way to grieve and people have different ways of grieving.

When someone dies, family and friends can find it difficult to cope with the tremendous grief they experience and can be unprepared for important decisions and arrangements that need to be made.

After the funeral is over, Pellows offers, free of charge, support and a sympathetic ear if people feel they need someone to talk to, someone to understand what they are going through. Whether it is just ‘being there’, or putting you in touch with other support networks, Robyn Chrystall, our bereavement support person, contacts all our families following a death.

We also offer a free book, Now What? A guide for people living with the death of someone close, by highly regarded grief counsellor and writer Lois Tonkin. This is posted out with the funeral invoice and death certificate (usually about two weeks after the funeral).

These are just two of the many ways we at Pellows Funeral Directors and Advisors demonstrate our understanding of the needs of families and friends going through the stress of a bereavement.
